2024 Reflections & Exciting New Directions in 2025
As another year ends, it's natural to reflect on the journey we’ve had and the paths we wish to take in the future. For me, 2024 marks an invigorating shift in my photography business—a transition that feels like a breath of fresh air. I want to take a moment to share some thoughts on the past year and the exciting changes ahead, focusing primarily on maternity, newborn, and birth photography.
Celebrating Life’s Precious Moments
Photography, for me, has always been about capturing the fleeting beauty of life’s most intimate moments. Whether I've been photographing blossoming bellies, the gentle coos of newborns, or the miraculous wonder of birth, each session has reminded me of the profound stories we tell through images.
As a bubbly and loving Portuguese soul, I thrive on the joy and warmth of these experiences. I want my clients to feel comfortable and free, allowing their true selves to shine through. Every session is not just a job; it’s a creative expression where laughter and love abound. I am not just behind the lens; I’m in the moment with you, capturing the essence of your family as it grows.
A Shift Towards Quality Over Quantity
As I look toward 2025, I'm making the conscious choice to focus my energy and creativity on maternity, newborn, and birth photography. I’ve decided to step away from family sessions, and I couldn’t be more excited about this change! By narrowing my focus, I can invest more time and love into each session, ensuring that the final images are not just photographs but works of art that reflect my clients' unique journeys.
I am committed to working with clients who understand and appreciate the art of photography and how it intertwines deeply with emotions and stories. While not every client may be the right fit for my artistic vision, that’s perfectly okay. I believe that a mutual appreciation for each other's passion and creativity is essential for a fruitful collaboration.
Finding My People
In the coming year, my aim is to surround myself with clients who resonate with my vision and excitement for life. I want to work with those who appreciate the time, energy, and love I pour into every shoot. It’s not about the money; it’s about passion. Photography should be an extension of my heart, and I want my clients to share that sentiment and inspire me to create magic. I absolutely want to let my personality shine through—my humor, my joy, my Portuguese charm! I won’t be creating just to meet a demand; instead, I’ll be doing what fills me up, and I want to ensure my clients feel that vibrant energy during our time together.
