New Business Policy for 2025
As we step into 2025, I am thrilled to announce an important update to my business policy that strengthens my commitment to sharing the beauty and artistry of photography. Capturing moments is not just about taking pictures—it’s about creating and sharing art. This year, all photographs I capture will find a place in my online portfolio, showcasing my work on my website, social media, and various competitions.
A New Year’s Resolution: Finding My People
Reflecting on last year, I realized that I often accepted clients purely for the sake of making money, which led me to stray from my own artistic values. This year my focus is to finding clients who truly resonate with my artistic vision. Let’s normalize saying NO to what doesn't align with our passions. Let’s normalize setting our ground and sticking with it. Let’s normalize not being fully booked just for the sake of money. Even if accepting fewer bookings, this change is essential for protecting my mental health and staying true to my beliefs.
Why Share My Work?
Photography is my passion, and without sharing my work, my business cannot flourish. These images allow me to showcase my abilities, connect with future clients, and serve as a testament to my dedication to this craft. By seeing my portfolio, you, my client, have discovered the artistry and essence behind each shot.
Client Privacy and Respect
Rest assured, your privacy is of utmost importance. To respect this, no images will include tags identifying you, and if any names are mentioned in blog posts, they will be changed to ensure confidentiality. Your comfort is paramount.
Diverse Showcasing
Throughout the year, I will feature a mix of images, from full portraits to detailed highlights. Whether it’s a captivating newborn session or a splendid family portrait, each photograph tells its own story. In the case of newborns, the beauty lies in their rapid transformation—a few weeks or months later, they’ve already changed entirely!
Model Calls for Maternity and Newborn Sessions
As part of my commitment to fostering creativity, I’ll be hosting model calls for maternity and newborn photography sessions. I believe that engaging with model calls allows my artistic vision to flow freely and brings fresh inspiration to my work. Interestingly, model calls can sometimes offer more financial benefit than traditional sessions, allowing me to capture stunning images while remaining true to my passion. I’m excited to explore this avenue and create unique, beautiful memories with those who participate.
Art Without Compromise
It is not uncommon for clients to request that certain elements of a photograph be hidden before sharing. As an artist, I view each photograph as a complete canvas, a work of art meant to be appreciated in its entirety. Just as one wouldn't place a sticker over a Van Gogh painting, altering or partially concealing my photographic work detracts from its intended expression and beauty.
Understanding and respecting these preferences is crucial, yet I hope clients recognize that sharing my unaltered work is integral to both my passion and business. It allows the true essence and emotion captured in each moment to shine through, connecting with others who appreciate this art form.
